From Savitri Devi's book "Gold In The Furnace":

"There was a time when the personality of Adolf Hitler shone through the nation's consciousness; when his voice stirred untold numbers; when he would pass by, cheered on by millions...the idol of the nation whom he had raised from the abyss to unparalled greatness. There was a time when Germany was prosperous, strong, full of self-confidence; when her reborn people, well-fed, well-educated, well-clothed, healthy and well-housed, were happy to work together for a future in which they all believed, when they LIVED, as they had yet never lived before, under the firm and wise rule of the Leader who loved them as no man ever had before.

But one can hardly believe this today. It seems so unreal...like a wonderful story from another world. And yet, it is true. There really was such a time, and not all that long ago. Collective enthusiasm was then as plentiful in Germany as depression, apathy, fear and bitterness have become since. Military parades, youth activities, and enormous mass gatherings were common occurrences. One watched the uniformed battalions march past one's house, and listened to the inspiring music of the Horst Wessel Lied as a matter of course. One saw portraits of the Führer wherever one went. And you greeted your colleagues in offices and factories, and your friends in the streets, in trams and buses, everywhere, with your right arm outstretched and with the two magic words that expressed all of your love and reverence for this Leader, all your hopes, all your dreams, all your pride: all the joy of those splendid days: "Heil Hitler!"

In addition, I was using this photo one day as a screensaver while listening to music. The song "The Way" by Fastball came on, and as I listened to some of the lines, they seemed to fit in perfectly with the picture:

"Anyone could see The road that they walk on is paved in gold
And It's always summer, they'll never get cold
They'll Never get hungry
They'll never get old and gray
You can see their shadows Wandering off somewhere
They won't make it home
But they really don't care
They wanted the highway
They're happier there today , today..."

You really have a problem; I've seen your crap all over DA where you attack people. You should check into anger management counseling.

i think about those childs, that 8-9 years later were all dead or dying, thanks to this enthusiasm...

Many of them are alive and well. I have several elderly friends who were that age then, and now they are healthy, happy and believe firmly in the ideology still. But of course, they also have some friends or family who died then or who survived but left NS ideology.

This photography alone deserves my :+fav: for its beauty: this is what I want to think of the Reich, these happy faces, these people filled with pride and love for their country.

Not to mention the writing, it is filled with passion, enthusiams, as if she had actually lived these years together with their portagonists.

I just love this photo too. There is something about it. It is a perfect representation of those days and when I look at it, it's almost as if each one of those people is speaking to me personally...And when I read that entry in the book I knew it fit in just right with the picture!

When I was younger I hated everything about Germany and Hitler etc(About Hitler I still do but know more know and some decisions he made wasnt that bad)
But now after 10 years of research I can see how different the truth is and how Germany were like back then, schools dont show this view sadly.

And yes it is correct what you write there and Germany back then were a proud nation which wasnt afraid of others and a country with record low levels of unemployment, and prosperous country with the best researcher and scientists in the world only USA were close to their level.
Today it is hard to believe a such state can exist since we live in a completly different style with false lies everywhere and no group effort, it is each man for its own more or less and leaders who only wants money at least in my country, with an USA who tries to be the world police :/

Was a very different world in Germany back then.

Yes, sometimes when I'm in Germany, especialy the big cities, I think "If the Führer could have looked ahead into a crystal ball and seen what his country would be like in the 21st century, he'd probably die of a broken heart!"

The focus in countries today seems to be more ilke "Everybody for yourself; try to grab as much money and possessions as you can!" and that's it. It's hard to imagine people working together like that and believing in some higher good. I think now, in general, you only run across that attitude in the military and in monasteries and convents.

I've been to a Cloister before, a Dominican one. Believe me when I say, and I know for your own reasons you know it too, that not even a Monastery or Convent can save one from malaise of the soul. Entropy cares not for ideologies and spares no length of the rod in spoiling the child.

But. The good news about those who give into entropy - when their reserves run empty there is nothing to replenish them, and no resistance for to offer.
